The results are in from our 2024 Family Survey. Getting feedback from parents every year helps us better understand the impact of our programs, learn what is important to families, and improve the overall Choir experience. Here are our findings.

The SDCC Ensemble Program offers six age- and skills-based choir levels, with Intermediate Choir sitting in the middle as the most advanced training ensemble. This choir level is comprised of middle schoolers in 6th to 8th grade who rehearse at two different locations.

It has now been several weeks since the inaugural San Diego Youth Choral Festival where the SDCC hosted over 200 young singers from across the country for five days of music making and iconic San Diego experiences.

As our season and the academic school year come to a close, we want to recognize and celebrate our choristers graduating high school. These talented young individuals have been an integral part of our Choir community for years, and we're so proud of their incredible journeys during their time with us.

Anyone who knows the San Diego Children’s Choir, knows Margie Orem, Apprentice Choir Director, Preparatory Choir’s Associate Director, outreach and early music education specialist, and all around amazing contributor. We recently sat down with Margie to talk about how her role is changing and why she is excited about the future.

Thanks to a grant from the Art Pratt Foundation of Old Mission Rotary, the dream to replace our once partially dilapidated, space-inefficient, and inaccessible music filing system with a robust new music filing system has become a reality.
