Jan Dziewior is a registered nurse with more than 35 years of extensive experience in both hospital and business settings. In addition to SDCC, she currently serves as the Board Chair & Chief Nursing Officer for Altra, Inc., an infusion company revolutionizing delivery of care. Her extensive experiences in domestic and international business provides a solid foundation in guiding the organization for further growth and community awareness.
Kathleen Ogilvie, PhD, Board Secretary
Associate Vice President, Translational and Nonclinical Research, Eli Llily & Company
Kathleen Ogilvie led the effort to predict the effects of potential therapeutics in the human body for Ventyx Biosciences, which was acquired by Eli Lilly in March 2026. In the course of her 25-year career in San Diego pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, she has received several performance-related awards, led or made major contributions to more than 18 clinical candidates, published more than 30 papers, and mentored numerous scientists to promotions and graduate school. Kathy’s son is an alumni of the San Diego Children’s Choir.
Roy Gonzales, Board Treasurer
Finance Executive
Roy Gonzales is a seasoned global finance executive with over 20 years of experience spanning the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, transportation, and consumer electronics industries. Most recently, he served as acting CFO and Principal Financial and Accounting Officer at Ventyx Biosciences, where he played a key role in the sale of the company to Eli Lilly. Earlier in his career, Roy began at KPMG LLP and has held senior finance leadership roles at Dexcom, Arena Pharmaceuticals, Landos Biopharma, Norfolk Southern Corporation, and Sony Electronics. Roy holds an MBA from UCLA, a BSBA from Old Dominion University, and a BA from Virginia Tech, and is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia.
Al Abdallah, Board Chair Emeritus
President and CEO, Urban League of San Diego County
Al Abdallah currently serves as the president and CEO of the Urban League of San Diego County. Abdallah worked for State Farm Insurance Auto for 27 years, first as an Auto Underwriter and then as an Auto Claims Adjuster, Claim Support Services Supervisor, and Auto Claims Team Manager. While working at State Farm Insurance, Abdallah joined the Board of Directors of the Urban League of San Diego County and served as Board Chair seven years after which he left the board for his staff position as Chief Operating Officer and now president and CEO.
Lyz Boltz, Family Association Co-Chair
Community Volunteer
Lyz Boltz is an active community volunteer, serving on the School Board and PTO at River Valley Charter School, as a committee chair for CYT San Diego, and as a weekly volunteer at Legacy Church and The Well–Community for Women in La Mesa. She lives in San Diego with her husband, Scott, and is the mother of three and grandmother of two. Her involvement with the San Diego Children’s Choir began in 2015, when her youngest daughter joined the Preparatory Choir. Her daughter is currently a member of the Chamber Choir.
Katina Mitchell
Freelance teacher and musician and Music Faculty, Palomar College
Dr. Katina Mitchell is a musician and teacher based in San Diego. She began her singing career as a chorister in the San Diego Children's Choir and has since sung professionally as a soprano with organizations such as San Diego Symphony, Monday Evening Concerts, MicroFest LA, Mainly Mozart Festival, Volti, and Lautten Compangey Berlin. A lover of choral music, Katina has sung as both soloist and chorister with the San Diego Master Chorale, Sacra/Profana, and the Schola Cantorum of St. James-by-the-Sea. Katina holds degrees in music from Rice University and the University of Southern California. She is a member of the music faculty at Palomar College and teaches voice privately.
Andrea Pino Antl
Principal, Creative and Performing Media Arts Middle School, San Diego Unified School District
Andrea Pino Antl is the Principal of Creative and Performing Media Arts Middle School (CPMA) within the San Diego Unified School District, where she has dedicated nearly 18 years to public education. In her current role, she leads a school built on the belief that the arts are essential to a well-rounded academic experience — a conviction she carries into every aspect of her work. Prior to becoming principal, Andreaserved as an Instructional Coordinator and Instructional Coach and MTSS Coordinator, building deep expertise in curriculum development, academic leadership, and supporting the whole child. She holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Point Loma Nazarene University. Andrea is passionate about equitable access to the arts, believing that creative expression is vital to healthy development and that every child deserves the opportunity to experience its transformative power. She is a first-year member of the San Diego Children's Choir Board of Directors.
Philomena Walsh, Advisory Council Chair

Philomena Walsh is a sales and marketing professional with more than 25 years of experience in technology, life sciences and biotechnology firms most recently as Sr. Director of Corporate Marketing at Illumina, Inc. Philomena’s marketing experience includes global marketing strategy, digital marketing, and integrated communications. She spent 10 years in various sales roles including account management, sales training, and sales management. Philomena graduated from San Diego State University with a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She is passionate about creating meaningful messaging and communications campaigns that promote awareness, drive growth, and improve audience engagement.
Lucy Wei, Family Association Co-Chair

Lucy Wei is the Co-Founder and President of TissueGenix, Inc. which develops 3D printed human tissue models for drug testing and disease treatment. She has explored different work experiences with multicultural backgrounds throughout her career. Lucy was the President of Allegro 3D. She led the successful development and launch of its commercial products. In 2022, Allegro 3D was acquired by and merged with an international corporation. Lucy is passionate about bringing music to families and communities. She has a son in the Chamber Choir who has been with the SDCC since he was six years old.
Pamela Wong Chief Legal Officer, PharmaLogic
Pamela Wong - Wong is currently Chief Legal Officer at PharmaLogic. She was formerly Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, leading Myriad Genetics’ legal function, including support and counsel for all legal affairs, intellectual property (IP), patent protection, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, regulatory and quality assurance, compliance, and government affairs. She is an experienced legal executive who excels at developing efficient solutions to help businesses succeed. Wong has a demonstrated history of protecting and commercializing innovations in a global environment, and her practical approach integrates law and business to help business partners reach their objectives. Wong is a member of the San Diego Master Chorale and serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors. Her two sons are alumni of the San Diego Children’s Choir.
CARRIE MUSICK COTTRIALL

Carrie Musick Cottriall has served as Executive Director of the San Diego Children’s Choir since 2015, leading over a decade of strategic leadership focused on growth, access, and long-term sustainability. Under her leadership, the Choir has expanded from 380 to more than 1,275 youth annually, revenue has doubled to over $1 million, and more than 65% of participants are supported through scholarships or free school-based programs. She has helped position the Choir as a leading regional youth arts organization while expanding equitable access to arts education.
Previously, Carrie served for eight years as Deputy Director of the Timken Museum of Art. With more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, she is known for strategic growth, diversified revenue generation, and for building high-performing, collaborative teams. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego.
