“You are there, and you’ve been doing [choir] for so long...It is a group mentality.
We can do this together. We’re not alone.”

Your generosity helped hundreds of children learn, grow, and discover the joy of singing. SDCC was able to provide:

  • Accessible countywide program locations

  • Scholarships for families experiencing financial hardship

  • Free school-based music education for students in underserved communities

  • High-quality instruction from diverse, professional teaching artists

  • Formative performance opportunities across the county

She also said she wants to be a choir teacher when she grows up!”
— Newly awarded scholarship family

With your support, SDCC is poised to:

  • Expand the San Diego Youth Choral Festival into a sustainable national gathering

  • Grow our scholarship fund to meet rising financial need

  • Increase access to high-quality music education for thousands more children in underserved communities

  • Strengthen long-term partnerships with arts and community organizations

  • Continue providing joyful, inclusive, research-backed instruction led by world-class teaching artists

LOOKING TO 2026
Together, we’ll ensure every child can find their voice

Fiscal Responsibility

In order to achieve our goals of reaching more kids and increasing awareness in San Diego through performances and partnerships, we need long term financial stability. To that end, we have focused on multi-year grants and contracts in addition to growing income from tuition.

“This is some of the highest quality music education my children have received.”

YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT
YOUR GIFT KEEPS THEIR VOICES STRONG

Two major multi-year grants are concluding this year, creating an urgent need for renewed donor investment. Without increased support:

  • Tuition assistance will shrink

  • Fewer schools in underserved communities will receive free music education classes

  • Some students may lose the one consistent, uplifting space they rely on each week
