This FREE concert is a part of the larger Binational Resilience Initiative project which aims to generate a program of binational environmental-coastal activities with an artistic and creative approach, aimed at children, youth and their families.

Festival Concert, Inaugural San Diego Youth Choral Festival

This summer marks the inaugural San Diego Youth Choral Festival. Nearly 250 students from 9 participating choirs from around the country are coming together to enjoy the amazing city of San Diego and to rehearse music together in a culminating Festival Concert. The festival takes place from June 27 through July 2, but audiences are invited to the Festival Concert on July 1.

Choral Consortium of San Diego hosts the San Diego Sings Festival featuring 15 area choirs in three concerts over the course of the day.

SDCC’s Premier Choir is the opening choir for the 7:00 PM concert. Other choirs also featured include San Diego Saint's Choir, Stellarum Chamber Choir, San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines, and San Diego Gay Men's Chorus.

Collaboration with Art of Elan

"Maps & Memories” is inspired by Mingei International Museum’s Washi Transformed exhibit featuring highly textured two-dimensional works, expressive sculptures, and dramatic installations that explore the astonishing potential of Japanese handmade paper, known as washi.

This concert features the San Diego Children’s Choir in works by Ilse Weber, as well as “Six Japanese Gardens” for solo percussion by Kaija Saariaho and the Hausmann Quartet performing Kojiro Umezaki’s “(Cycles) What falls must rise” for shakuhachi, string quartet and electronics.

SDCC's 33rd Annual Spring Concert, A Celebration of Disney Songs

Join the San Diego Children's Choir for its 33rd Annual Spring Concert. More than 270 choristers from five choir levels will perform selected pieces from throughout Disney's long history, from Cinderella to Encanto. Disney songs are paired with other San Diego Children's Choir favorites to create a well-rounded and enjoyable concert for the whole family. The concert will also feature the world premier of "Los Veinte Ratones" by Mexican composer Maria Granillo.

Members of Chamber Choir perform with members of San Diego Master Chorale, Palomar Choirs and the Palomar Symphony Orchestra.

The Palomar Symphony Orchestra teams teams up with the Palomar Choirs, members of the San Diego Master Chorale, San Diego Children’s Choir, and other guest choruses to present Carl Orff’s masterwork “Carmina Burana” and Ralph Vaughn Williams’ “Five Mystical Songs” in a concert that will reveal music’s power to explore life’s unknowable mysteries.
