For more than 36 years, the San Diego Children’s Choir has been a vital part of San Diego’s cultural and educational landscape, providing high quality choral training, music education and performance opportunities to children across the county.
Our legacy is now at risk.
The City of San Diego, our largest funder, has made an unprecedented cut to all arts funding from the 2027 budget— delivering a devastating blow not just to our community and culture at large—but to the thousands of children our Choir impacts each year.

WHY GIVE?
More than 80% of San Diego schools lack choral music education. SDCC fills a critical gap by providing accessible, high-quality music programs for children of all backgrounds and financial circumstances. Today, more than 70% of the 1,500 choristers we serve rely on scholarships or free music education in their underserved schools.
Tuition and other program revenue cover only part of the costs—your support helps ensure that every child who wants to sing has the opportunity to participate.
