Day 7- July 3, 2005

There was no wake up call today… (People cheering joyously…) The youth section of the choir was invited to a breakfast social this morning at a nearby café called "Grand Italia" where there was a really hot waiter! (Oh yeah… they had some nice gelato and fruit tarts there too.) Then we went back to the gorgeous hotel to pick up the others who hadn't gone to breakfast and we all left the beautiful Chianciano for the equally lovely Montepulciano. The hills were very, very steep, and our tour guide, Helen (with her legs of steel), made us climb to the highest point, only to tell us that we had already passed the church where we would be singing later in the evening. She then took us back down for some free time. And of course, we stopped for gelato every chance we got.

We must have seen a hundred posters advertising our concert in Montepulciano. (We're famous in Italy!) When free time was over, we went back to St. Agostino church and prepared for our full-length performance. Unfortunately, we lost Kathleen briefly at one point (yikes!), but she actually ended up being inside of the very same church where we were just singing. The concert was a success, and we soon found ourselves back on the bus (Massimo!) and finally back to the Cristallo Hotel, where we ate a wonderful dinner. I fell fast asleep… at 3 am.
