Yesterday we went bike riding in Stanley Park. Stanley Park is a peninsula that is very pretty and heavily wooded. The interior can be very dark, yet pretty. What I thought was the most interesting was the quickly changing currents and rough waters in the bay. Even though Lucas got a flat tire on his bike, we all had a great time.

As I sit at my homestay watching the T.V., I reminisce (please excuse my spelling, I haven't written in about a month). The day's activities were quite enjoyable for such a cloudy day in Vancouver.

Today the choir's activities began at the bus (which was a little bit late) in the St. Andrew's United Church parking lot. From there we took a bus ride over to Christ Church Cathedral. We rehearsed for about an hour. The choir sat through a church service for about an hour and a half, then sang a "recital." Both the Youth and Concert Choir sang "I'm Goin' Up a Yonder," although we weren't originally going to sing it.

From there the choir rode to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The bridge wobbled as a great crowd of red T-shirted children crossed it. Even Polly ventured across (I have a picture to prove it!).

Instead of going up Grouse Mountain and seeing the view as was planned, Mr. Black rented us bikes. THANKS AGAIN, MR. BLACK!!! Since the Grouse Mountain View of the city was just about non-existent, we zipped through the park on rental bikes, and got a great view of the bay. My group got lost and was a bit over a half an hour late getting back to the bus. The members of our "committee" are: Megan, Annika K., Anneka S., Dominique, Mrs. McClellan, Dani D. (that's me!), and Jamie S. It all started when we were a bit misguided, a bike chain fell off, and we became lost. We probably rode for an extra mile (more like 10!). By the time the "Late Committee" got back our hands were numb and we were extremely tired.

Tonight is our last night at our homestays. I say this with much regret, mine was great.

Well it's getting late and I should be getting to bed. As I remember the day's occurrences, I laugh. This makes me look to tomorrow with hope and regret. Soon we will be home. And this freedom will be but a memory ... a dream ...
