When last we left our choir heroes, they had learned that the word of the day is any variation of the word "lock:" i.e., "locks," "lockage," "locked." This morning, following a continental breakfast consisting of pastries and pastries, the choir visited the Miram M. Chittenden water locks. Absolutely riveting! Following our excursion to the fabulous locks, we then hurrahed to the breathtaking Seattle Space Needle, where the visibility was a whopping 75 meters. The view was stunning, to say the least. After this adventure, the choir split into smaller chaperoned groups to seek their own adventures. Some children found happiness frolicking in the fountain, swinging among the trees, or posing for publicity shots for the following year's choir program. Upon traversing the city and its wonders after the Needle, the entire choir retreated to the comfort of the rooms where all choiristers fell into a long, much-needed R.E.M. sleep for a full two hours. (And if you believe that ... -Ed) Later, the choir finished the day with a ferry ride to Tillicum Village, where they enjoyed an authentic salmon dinner and dance show. They then returned to the Ramada and slept, eagerly awaiting what lay ahead. Written by Ryan, Jason, H.T.W., and Gabriel (a subset of Stuart Campbell's chaperone group).
