We are sitting in a hotel room consisting of two queen sized beds, a TV, and a view of the parking lot. As we write this, we are all falling asleep. Today was great. After a considerably early flight, we arrived at the Seattle Airport, ready for another fun-filled choir adventure. After rehearsing at St. Mark's Cathedral, we boarded the bus for Pike Place Market were we ate and shopped. The biggest attraction was the freaks throwing fish. For those of you who haven't heard of the famous fish throwers, they are workers from the market who like to show off their brawny muscles to the onlookers. We then headed for a tour of the Seattle Underground. The tour guide was especially amusing. Many were fascinated by the dead rat, but most took pleasure in the interesting aromas within the underground city. And now, here we are, in the Ramada Inn, contemplating the meaning of life and wondering what really causes the smells from beneath the city of Seattle. Written by Annika, Megan, Thanh, Kate, Camille, Canon, Alyse, and Appalachia (Gail Anderson's Chaperone Group).
