This site exists to recognize the accomplishments of the Graduates of the San Diego Children's Choir and to provide a communication link to help them continue their friendships - even though they may be located at various colleges or careers throughout the country.

Graduation from the Choir occurs from the top level Youth Choir after the chorister's senior year in high school. Normally, the Youth Choir only accepts choristers from the lower level Choirs. Thus Graduates of the Choir have been singing and touring together for many years, many since they first were able to join the Choir at the age of 8 or 9.

The Choir's first graduation class was the Class of 1998. The eight choristers that graduated averaged 4.9 years in the choir.

In the Class of 1999, nine choristers graduated and they averaged 5.4 years in the choir.

The Class of 2000 consisted of 17 choristers whose average participation was a remarkable 7.2 years, with eight of the group having been in the choir nine years or longer.

The Class of 2001 consisted of 12 choristers whose average participation was approximately 6 1/2 years, including two 10 year participants.

The Class of 2002 consisted of 11 choristers whose average participation was approximately 7 years, with 6 of the group participating 9 or more years.

The Class of 2003 consisted of 19 choristers whose average participation was over 5 1/2 years, with 4 of the group participating 10 full years.

The Class of 2004 numbered 21 choristers, all girls, making this our largest graduating class yet. There average participation was over 5 years with two 10 year members.

The Class of 2005 consisted of 10 choristers with an average participation of over 7 1/2 years including 1 nine year chorister, 4 ten year choristers, and the first chorister with more than ten years.

The Class of 2006 numbered 12 choristers with an average participation of over 7 1/2 years.

The Class of 2007 consisted of 17 choristers with an average participation of over 6 years.

The Class of 2008 consisted of 15 choristers with an average participation of over 8 years - a new high.

The Class of 2009 numbered 7 choristers with an average participation of just under 8 years.

Our recent Graduates, the Class of 2010 featured on the home page, have 6 choristers. Their average participation was 6 years.

To date, the Choir has graduated 164 choristers and their average length of participation has been approximately 6.5 years. They have formed lasting friendships and it is intended that this site support their friendships and report on their future accomplishments.
