The San Diego Children's Choir has chosen Steve Schroeter as our Star Award Honoree for 2005. He has been active with the Choir for over 10 years.
Steve currently is serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, a position he has held for three years. During the last few years, the Board has taken on major responsibilities during the transition of Choir Music and Administrative leadership since the passing of our founder. Steve has been a steadying influence, not only on the Board, but for the entire Choir family. He participated in many roles, including the Search Committee for a new Music Director, as a chaperone on the Australian Tour, and even as the branch coordinator during weekly rehearsals.
As a Choir Parent for seven years, Steve has been an active chaperone as well as serving as the Treasurer of the Parent's Association, maintaining not only the Association's finances but also the individual touring accounts for each of the 300 plus choristers. Steve has performed all these roles with an uplifting spirit for the organization and the Choristers and is truly deserving to be the Choir's Honoree for 2005.
