The San Diego Children's Choir is proud to honor Cindy Haskell for her outstanding
volunteer effort and leadership over many years. Cindy has been a choir parent
for eight years during which time she initiated and participated in numerous Choir
events. As a member of the Parents' Board, Cindy launched the Choir's major tour
fundraiser four years ago, the Sing-a-Thon. She was the UC Choir's branch grocery
scrip representative for three years, the UC Branch VP for three years, and the
Choir's Merchandise Chair for three years. She is currently the President of
the Parents' Board and has been on the Board of Directors as the Parents' Representative
for one year.
The San Diego Children's Choir suffered a great lost this year with the passing
of Polly Campbell, the Choir's Founder and Music Director. Cindy worked tirelessly
with great compassion in keeping the Parents' Board and Board of Directors united
and focused to ensure the great legacy that is the San Diego Children's Choir will
continue. She was the liaison with the Campbell family and helped organize the
wonderful Celebration of Life held in Polly's honor. Throughout her years of
volunteer work, Cindy has given the Choir a professional, creative, and sound
voice that has helped make the San Diego Children's Choir a better organization. On
behalf of all of the choristers and their families, the San Diego Children's Choir
honors Cindy Haskell.
